Sailing ship
I found this model ship in a charity shop. I've changed the sails. It reminds me a bit of the ship on the Blue Peter badge.
Kafka's tree
"Don't bend; don't water it down; don't try to make it logical;
don't edit your soul according to the fashion.
Rather follow your most intense obsessions mercilessly." Franz Kafka.

Cathedral

'Cathedral' collage by Paul Vallance |
I like the prayerful feel of this collage. After I'd assembled it I realised that Rodin had joined two right hands, so in a way the image could also be taken to represent the union of two people as well as the interconnectedness of form and emptiness, the non-dual.

Some surrealist jokes
What do you get when you cross a surrealist with a mafia don? An offer you can't understand.
Last night I ate a huge mirror - it was shattering.
I have a very nice stepladder. Sadly I never knew my real ladder.
(well they made me laugh anyway).

Kafka's eye

'Kafka's eye' collage by Paul Vallance |
"You don't need to leave your room. Remain sitting at your table and listen. Do not even listen, simply wait, be quiet, be still and solitary. The world will freely offer itself to you to be unmasked, it has no choice, it will roll in ecstasy at your feet." Franz Kafka.
